Hello everyone,

This seems like the right place. Sorry, the Left place? Sorry, stupid joke.

Anyway, the short of it is I'm a twenty-something currently living in the city of Brotherly Love. I left college a few years ago without a degree in English. Since then I have held a variety of shit jobs, running the whole gamut from menial labor to customer service to selling my body to science. I can say without irony that of the three I mentioned, selling my body to science was the least degrading.

In my non-working life, I enjoy watching David Harvey lectures, cooking, and losing myself on youtube or wikipedia. I'm also a musician living in a house full of musicians, so I party some, but that bit is getting old. Fun fact: I'm casually dating the daughter of someone in the financial oligarchy.

I've joined you fine people admittedly to learn more about my own politics. Throughout my teenage and adult years I have tried on a variety of political ideals, including a brief flirtation with libertarianism I'm embarrassed to admit (Ron Paul was just too goshdarn cute during the last election I couldn't help myself... until I actually listened to what he was saying instead of what I wanted to hear). Mostly though, I've leaned toward the left. Over time and study I came to the gradual realisation that I'm some sort of Marxist, despite my best attempts to remain politically aloof. I don't have many folks to share this with so I'm very much looking forward to some fresh perspective.

That's hilarious!

I fell for the same stuff. I'm a big anti-authoritian so the anarcho-capitalism stuff sounded really good until I thought about it long enough to realize that capitalism is inherently not freedom at all. In fact, I think it would be worse that what we got now.

Anyway, welcome.

Welcome! It's great to see new folks from Philly (I basically do all my political work there).

Not to shill too hard, but I will be giving a talk in Philly tomorrow evening:

Hello, Filipino's of all shapes and minds,

I am not a political figure or any kind.
But I have interests and some knowledge in Political View.

I am a Filipino, male 23 years old.
Working independently here in New Zealand,
at a minimum wage.

I am interested to be converted into Islam and as I also
would like to study about communism.

Anyone here, have suggestions for me.

Please introduce yourself, :)

(P.S - I Could not post a new thread, so i just replied here.)

Yup, don't let my current location fool you. I'm originally from Lebanon county, near Harrisburg.
