Today, I was chatting with another guy in school about politics and we ran across into the topic of religion.I told him I am an Atheist. He told me "What? If you have been baptised or go in church on Easter you are considered a Christian you idiot!". I answered "So what? You do not get born as an Atheist but you become one.By the way,I never go in a Church on Easter".Guess his answer. No guesses?Really? No?OK.Here it is : "You fuckin' moron antichrist even your stupid communist ideology was created by God.Also,God was that he got people to be equal.Fuck you commie *****."Finally, I answered him "If the "God" you are talking is Marx then yes I can agree with you.If not,I am sorry I can't."
My point is that is it really worth it to argue with those types of people?
P.S.:I have no intention to insult all religious people, only specific, those who think that God will save everyone.

Cde Peephole, who comes across as a convinced and tolerant atheist, did well in the conversation: interestingly, all the insults (I counted five) in the dialogue as related to us came from his "Christian" acquaintance. It sounds like both people speaking are young, and the "Christian" who used abusive language was upset at talking to an atheist.
I think it is most likely that some people will be open to atheism as they participate in the working-class movement, which has shown itself to be very strong, militant, and exemplary in Greece, having carried out multiple general strikes in defense of their pensions and for their national sovereignty, against the EU, IMF, ECB. Good job!

Actually, I think we are born atheist and get indoctrinated into believing in god, lol.
Saying the word "atheist" is what freaks people out. If you just say you don't go to church and leave it at that then they think you're just an inactive Christian and it's easier for them to comprehend.
I don't think it's a good idea to argue with most people about religion. Especially someone who is calling you the anti-christ. You can debate with a reasonable person. Debating it is good. But walk away from the wackos.

OP: I don't understand what you mean about not being born an atheist. Everyone is born an atheist. Atheism simply means a lack of belief. It is the religious that have to become theists.

It is the religious that have to become theists. Some people are being taught to be religious and theist by their parents but as those people grow up they decide to form their own opinion. They might keep believing in God but a minority might not decide that.

But my point is that I do not wanna be labeled as a Christian, active or not.I can agree though with you it is pointless to argue with people that are always offensive and reactionary.

TBH i have spiritual beliefs but, i hold fast on the principle that when looking at interaction of society of individuals you have to base everything on non religious principles. This is a point most religious people seem to miss, its their world you just live in it.
I was luckily enough not baptized, which surprising, considering my mom is very Christian; she still believes in freedom of choice. I very much thank my mom for not getting me baptized, because i don't plan on becoming Christian.

To be honest, I think you'd just be beating your head against a wall. :/
