Well that makes me wonder, what did they to their in the first place. Isn't the war in Afghanistan supposed to be over and even more how the persons responsible for the ambush knew of their prescense. That creates so many questions and I find it strange I have heard nothing about it on the news and didn't read a thing of it in the papers. These events amaze me more and more ...

Lol, well the truth is defantly out there but will we ever able to see it. Since the truth is a dangerous tool to wield and could destroy most political parties that are reigning countries at the moment. If only the truth would come out more, we would have a far better world ...

Well I would love to believe that, but sadly in some countries the truth will never see the dailight and even when it does, the goverment will make the truth sound like unreal and will do anything to take the power from it and keep the people dumb that is really sad and just pisses me off ...

Two Canadian soldiers died during a patrol recently.

Canada is, or was, or is supposed to be, in command of the NATO forces in Afganistan.

CRR I assume you do not live in the US? And if you dont how can you possibly tell what Americans think about what they are told? Americans are sceptical of a lot of what they see on tv news.....as well they should be..........oh and try watching SKY news instead of the Beeb.

Well they are being dumbed down for their own safety or that is atleast what the goverment tells as reason. Well american are very nationalistic and are so proud of their "great empire" and when their goverment sees a country as threat they say it is a enemy to their "great state" and than they automaticly think the war is justified <_<

And americans are so nationalistic that they believe everything what their goverment and news tells them. You can't really prove them otherwise, since they will never believe ya ...

Well, I hate to break it to you....I think if you were to ask all of the members of this board that were from the U$, I think they would take exception to your statement. All you really have to do is read about the anti-war demonstrations here to have proof that that's not the case.

I believe nothing that my government or news agencies tell me, and I think you'll find similar sentiment here.

Yes, some American's are nationalistic. But aren't you the one that made the statement that no American student could compare to any Belgium student? Isn't that nationalism?

And of course I'm having a discussion with someone that used to have Rommel's picture for an Avatar!

a) Well offcourse you have exceptions and that can be in great numbers since America hosts one of the biggest population in the world. But I still stay with my thought that the majority of the American are nationalists.
b) If you don't believe me that the school education of Belgium and other European countries like the Netherlands are higher you can check various studies peformed and you will see that some European countries have a few of the highest school systems around.
c) Well what has Rommel to do with anything what I say, I had a different view on things in the past but it is very mature to show the persons mistakes from the past. And I still stay with my opinion that Rommel was a brilliant general and I don't see how that has anything that goes with my political ideology

And I have to thank you for backing up one of my statements " Well, I hate to break it to you ... " you have signs of the typical American superiorty complex :P

US soldiers die in Afghan crash

A United States military helicopter has crashed in Afghanistan killing five American soldiers.
Seven others were injured in the crash near Bagram air base, US Central Command said in a statement.

"The cause of the crash is unknown and under military investigation," the statement said.

Helicopters from the Bagram base have been used as part of a US offensive against suspected al-Qaeda and Taleban members in remote areas of the country.
