I love my best friend dearly. I love her like she were my sister. Plus she's the mother of my beautiful godchild. We're practically family.
But...I'm concerned about her fiance, who happens to be a soldier...how can I put this politely...He's an ignorant, racist, homophobic jackass! He hates anyone who isn't white or straight. He admitted earlier that he got into a fight with a chinese man...purely because he's chinese..Plus he hates black men. (Ironically, my boyfriend is black..)
My best friend is alot like me. She hates racism and homophobia. Which is why I'm baffled why she wants to marry this guy!
She wants me to meet him on Tuesday...I really don't wanna...But she's my best friend and I really don't wanna hurt her.
What should I do? Hold my tongue and my beliefs for the sake of the woman who is practically my sister? Or let it out all out if the bastard utters even the slightest racist/homophobic slur?

Bring your boyfriend and speak only in Chinese.

If he says something bigoted just confront him about it. Maybe you should talk to her about it alone. But don't be like "I don't like him, break up with him," be like "I noticed that he says alot of bigoted things, what's up with that?"

She knows he's a racist and homophobe. I'm hoping the relationship won't last. I know thats a horrible thing to say, but I don't think she'll be safe around him. Last night during an X-Box LIVE convo between all three of us, he got into a racist rant. Of course I'm sitting there feeling extremely uncomfortable (He knows I'm anti-racist, yet he still continued..This happens with all her boyfriends. They always annoy me with the thing I hate)
She ended up stopping him and saying;
"Thats it, I'm putting my foot down! You know she hates racism and you know she has a black boyfriend! No more of that bullshit, alright!"
She's even warned him to be respectful towards my boyfriend and that she'll break up with him if he starts anything with him. It's times like this that remind me why I love my best friend so much. <3

I was once hitch-hiking with a friend, and along the way we got picked up by some really cool people, who also happened to live close to where we live. So we invited them to come to a party with us, when we would get back from the trip.
Along the way, it turned out one of the guys was pretty damn racist. We still liked the guy, but the at the party we invited them to, there would also be alot of colored friends of ours. I didn't really know what to do about the situation, but my friend put it politely and clearly: you can think what you want about foreigners, but when you come to the party with us, you won't make any racist remarks, you'll just drink and have fun.
I thought that was a pretty good way to handle it, and it turned out quite allright.
EDIT: it looks like your best friend is handling it pretty well

Not possible, I'm afraid. My boyfriend hates fighting and despises violence.
