On sunset blvd. (http://socialistworker.org/2011/09/14/on-strike-on-the-sunset-strip) Here we go, looks like service Unions are steping it up on the west coast, and just after I leave, everyone in LA support this.

Strike in Chicago as well...

Too bad I left the States a couple of weeks ago, I could have shown some solidarity with the workers in Chicago.

its funny, I see more and more economic refugees in europe from the US, i.e. the one lucky enough to get out, even economic refugees in China.

My family lived in the US for 15 years, we moved back to Serbia about 3 years ago. Me and my father are back and forth trying to support the family with money. My father is a truck driver, I usually work in offices and whatnot. But, yes it is true, many immigrants are leaving the US. My father predicted the Yugoslav civil war a year before it happened. He's gotta a good nose for -these things. He says there be a shitstorm-a-brewin in the US. I say there be a shitstorm-a-brewin worldwide.

And the shit may be brown.

As in the color of their shirts. So be careful.

I have a bad feeling that this "deal" will give the workers the short end.

THe workers wanted to strike, we have to wait for the details of hte deal, but I'm not optimistic about this, anyone who's a supermarket worker in California know anything more about the deal?

I joined the navy a long time ago, went to Japan and stayed there after my enlistment. It was a ticket out of the US. Japan isn't much better though. The medical system is better, that's about it.

If this turned into a wild cat strike, it could be the begining of something.

 It's a couple of housekeepers at a hotel. And when you figure in that a good chunk of hotel workers are undocumented aliens--I don't think nuch will come of this at all. It's just the wrong base for anythign to happen.

But wait and see.

The battle is still ongoing in Wisconsin, but either way something big happened in Wisconsin, and that was'nt even a wildcat strike.
