From the un-named 'Union Leader's' comments, it looks like it could be so.

A series of 1 day, 2-3 day and rolling, continuous strikes sounds promising.

What needs to happen is to make sure that this is not an isolated set of events. Revolutionary action is never singular (i.e. a revolution is never just one event, so it's disingenuous from a Marxist perspective to describe the Russian Revolution of 1917, as it was a process of 15+ years, in reality), it is a process. The revolutionary process in the UK, however weak, started in 2010 with the opposition to £9k higher education, and continued with the public sector demonstrations in 2011.

What is needed, is to uni public sector workers and all those - students, pensioners and the unemployed - who came out to protest against the Coalition policies, in November. Can this be done without it turning into a SWP paper-sellathon? We will see.
