Okay after watching both the corporation and food, inc, and doing fact checking on them both, I am utterly disgusted with monsanto. I mean I don't exactly like any corporation but monsanto takes the freaking cake. Suing people for patten infringement for saving seed, when they had never bought from monsanto before simply because their fields had been contaminated by their neighbors fields. Falsifying and aggressively protecting RBGH, which is a hormone that helps us produce more of what we don't need more of, that we are paying to have not produced.
I mean, really monsanto, you make Enron look like isthmus engineering. ... can someone explain why these assholes haven't had their corporate charter revoked? I mean even money has it's limits.

Because money doesn't have limits, especially when said money is working for the U.S. government.

I'm in full agreement. Just another symptom of Capitalism.

Fun Fact: Monsanto supplied Agent Orange to the US DoD along with Dow Chemical
My grandma lives near one of their many US plants. I told her this and she tripped out.

^and to think I struggled hours for mine...
I just finished reading an article in Lenguaraz (the only Mexican literary magazine that reaches my part of the desert, lol) presicely about Monsanto's actions in the Lacandona jungle, and boy do I feel like burning capitalism down. It's almost cartoonish: they sell Faena Fuerte (a pesticide known internationally as Roundup) which, of course, kills everything but Dekalb, their own (copyrighted) brand of seeds. The author, who goes by Pijamasurf, goes on to expound about how this is a clear example of capitalism imposing its needs on common people, as Roundup kills all of the secondary food crops that traditionally account for at least half of locals' diet. He talks about how capitalism teaches "capitalist logic" whose only point of reference is the benefit of the Market. It really is enfuriating as Monsanto seeds are rapidly making short work of the native ecosystem, fucking up untold food chains and leaving behind a monochromatic, lucrative and unstoppable plague.

Monsanto's fucking patented corn has even shown up near remote rural villages in Chiapas ...

I recommend checking out the documentary 'The Future of Food'... I think it's on hulu or one of those places for free.
I must agree that in my book, Monstanto (followed by just about any pharmaceutical company) is absolute evil.
But- their power was handed to them on a silver platter by the US government. (just like every single other corp)
