i dont like smoking all the way to the filter, i have before and i accidently smoked the filter. i felt like shit. so i stop a bit before now

right around the white area. some times ill go a bit farther.

one time though, i decided to preform a little experiment. i let it burn to the filter and then some with the but up so it would burn hotter and i flicked the cherry out and what did i see? a singed, hardened, and melted filter. the flame didnt even get past that little line and the filter didnt look burnt on the outside. it receeded about a 16th of an inch too.

I've done that couple times too in the dark. Nasty experience. Always put it out before the filter. Buy 100's if you want to smoke longer.

I don't smoke, but I've seen several friends do that. I always wonder how the fuck they don't notice. They are usually drunk or stoned (or both) when that happens though. :laugh:

I smoke until I taste filter. I don't waste good tobacco if I can help it, but dear comrade OP and the other friend who sparked this debate stop a centimeter or more up above the orange filter zone and insist that after you get down past the label on the paper, that you've reached "the shit part". I shudder to think at how many cigarettes worth of tobacco they've wasted by doing that.

I usually smoke non-filtereds, fuck your silly filter problems. When I smoke filtered cigarettes though I generally smoke it to like a centimeter or so above the filter.
