Shoot 'em all!

I cannot stand stealth;it annoys me and it never actually works.I prefer the "kick down the door and start shooting" approach.

Deus Ex 1 is one of th best games ever made. Deus Ex 2 I couldn't get past 30 minutes since it was so bad.

I played the leaked alpha a few months ago for Deus Ex 3, it was FUCKING AMAZING... then my laptop broke and my new one can't run the game. Goddamnit.

...stealth is so much more easy in Deus Ex games than the 'Call of Duty approach'. Either you really suck at stealth in Deus Ex or I really suck at the CoD approach, or both.

I did find the game rather hard with the "action" approach, but I still prefer it greatly to stealth.

i thought stealth was pretty good in human revolution, i've done it through most of the game without a problem even some of the really hard areas. that said i've gotten in more than a few shoot outs when sneaking goes wrong.

I am going to have to take your word on it since I myself have only completed the first mission as of now.I will probably try stealth another time.

you just gotta time it right with the guards patrols. and once you get better silenced weapons you can just head shot em and clear a room without raising an alarm:redstar2000:

o well this is ok I guess

Wasn't as good as the first Deus Ex, but I didn't really expect it to be. All in all, it was a great game. Probably gonna be one the years favourites.

Ah,so you can kill them without raising an alarm...my mind instantly went to stealth without killing;so perhaps it will be easier than I originally though? Will have to put this to the test someday.

I was pleasantly surprised but whoever thought boss battles was a good idea needs to be dropped in the ocean.

I'm still playing the game though I've had it for a while. My buddy who lent it to me played a 'no kill' play through, so I decided to do the exact opposite (this is mainly cause he said it couldn't be done). And I don't just mean kill all the guards and baddies, I mean I literally kill everyone the game allows you to. I play a stealth/action combo play wise, I only get into shoot outs if I have to, preferring to silently take down enemies one by one. Needless to say this play style in combo with my 'kill everyone' approach means it takes me a bit to get through each area. Thus far I've managed to depopulate Detroit and Shanghai and will get to work as soon as I get into Montreal proper, I'm currently in the news station still.

I haven't gotten to any of the bosses yet....what are they like? Do I dare even ask?

They are just incredibly gamey. e.g. huge guy walking across a room with a chain-gun arm that never runs out of bullets like I am in a bullet-hell shooter.

Me and a buddy got Dead Island over Human Revolution. What system do you play on?

Also, I've heard that the bosses (in Human Revolution) are very different from the game. Like how you go about them, the developers didn't give you the chance to defeat them various ways, and it's pretty straight forward, this way or you don't advance.

The game was awesome. I usually play the "fuck you all" way and kill everybody, but I really enjoyed the stealth in this game and hacking everything. I still killed mostly everybody though!

The game was brilliant in many ways, but the last mission is absolute shit.

I mean, you spend the entire game working up your skills for stealth, attack, or whatnot, and they end with a fucking zombie mission? Such a major letdown.

Okay I've been wondering since we're in a similar discussion, I wonder how would augmentations (if it's even possible) be handled in a post-revolutionary society?

Well actually the game is based on conspiracy theories (FEMA Camps, Illumanti, etc) I guess conspiracies are really good for fictional stories but not reality.

Of course another reason why I hate the Invisible War endings is because it basically tells us "We need to be ruled by either a all seeing eye, a religious order, or a AI god or else we all destroy ourselves via nuclear war" since the game buys into the liberal theory of "human nature" ("humans are naturally selfish/warlike/etc destined to destroy ourselves") which is a pretty unrealistic view of humanity actually since wars are caused by capitalism not humanity themselves.

i just try to kill all the cops. then sell their weapons off one at a time for maximum credits

I see the point that wars happen all over history but my main point though is that our society points that is "proof" of "human nature" (as the game is suggesting) but however though their also ignoring what is the main causes of these wars which is my main point.

But your point is rather wrong as wars have long been fought over resources or power of some sort. It was rather naive to claim capitalism was the cause of war as well as a poor analysis. Whether that is what you meant or not is impossible to tell but what you posted was wrong.

I wish there was a socialist option for an ending as opposed to primitivist, liberal, free market and doing nothing. Plus, the endings all had random as fuck footage that didn't really seem to pertain to anything in particular.
