I still remember, and like, the description my friend Dave Zirin gave us after we gathered at his house that afternoon, after me and another comrade got booted from work half a block from the White House, and after having gone up on the roof of our building to see the smoke rising from the Pentagon across the Potomac: a deeply reactionary act. A black eye to the imperialist schoolyard bully, but nonetheless a deeply reactionary act. I think the ensuing 10 years have borne that one out in spades.
