Greetings fellow comrades! :) I'm a leftist residing in eastern Canada. Socially, I've been a leftist for most of my life (my father and one of my cousins are communists), but the economic decay of recent years has strengthened my hatred of capitalism, and made me more determined to stand against it. While I haven't read much Communist literature, I greatly admire the ideas proposed by Rosa Luxemburg.
I must say however, that I'm completely opposed to any authoritarian tendency in socialism. I think Stalinism, Pol Pot maoism and similar dictatorial systems are horrid perversions of what true Socialism should be.
I'm a firm believer in individual freedom and a future ideal society where full freedom, equality and prosperity for all can one day reign; I believe only the revolutionary left has the power to make this possible.
Also, I might add, unlike most hard leftists, I do have religious beliefs.
I look forward to discussing our noble philosophy with everyone.
