discrimination is harmful to the working class full stop imo, we need people to understand that what unites them is their humanity and the oppression they suffer under capitalism, things like race, religion, gender, nationality, sexuality, they are concepts that serve only to divide and segregate people which makes them a tool of the ruling class; the more time we see other members of our own class as "competitors" the more we "compete" with them within the capitalist system for the limited resources the ruling classes allow the rest of society within it, they need this because without these arbitrary divisions people would realise that they are united by class more than anything and recognise the common humanity we all share. we must conquer these things if we are to ever truly emancipate society from it's chains and allow us to work together to overthrow the capitalist classes and begin creating a new, socialist society.

A distinction is often made between right wing nationalism, which is the predominant type in this period, and "left-nationalism", which entails pride for a revolution and the strides of the workers' state. Mind you, these are not Marx's theories and were developed post-Marx after workers' states had come to be, most especially during and after Stalin. I do think that there's a legitimate differentiation to be made between the two brands of nationalism; I would no doubt consider myself a left-nationalist if I belonged as a citizen of a workers' state and would lay my life down for one without a doubt. But true "left" nationalism stems from the revolutionary gains of the struggle for socialism and the achievements of the workers' state, while right-wing nationalism finds it roots in mechanical patriotism, i.e., love of a nation simply because it is the one a person was born in, and from imperialist gains.
Racism is condemned in all forms, manifestations and expressions by all Marxist theoreticians and by all good Marxists.
EDIT: But you'll find a lot of unintentionally racist "Marxists" who fall prey to liberalism and act in a racist manner unknowingly due to their liberalistic tendencies. Especially on Revleft.

Money or control of means of production can't help anyone, including the working class, if they end up going to hell.

Thanks.
Seriously though, do you deny that any material gain pales in comparison to the endless suffering experienced in hell?
