So we have our what's something small that annoys the crap out of you thread and I thought it would be good to have a something small that you love and puts you in a good mood thread. Same principles as the other thread, I'll start.

When random people approach me and talk to me. Makes me feel better, like I'm an approachable person someone can talk to, not some freak I think I am. That brightens up the rest of the day.

Hugs. Hugs are just awesome.

Cuddling with anybody, I don't really care who. I get called gay every time that people wake up and find me spooning with my cousin or something but I don't care, it's so damn comfy.

Waking up to a text from your girlfriend. First it's like :( because you just woke up but then I realize it's from the gf and it's like :).

Putting a bit of cheese on the floor and waiting for the dog to find it.

Hearing people softly humming a song that i like

A cold beer after work

Beach driving while its dark or raining

Being cold then getting into a warm bed

finding a nice movie on the torrent sites that i did not know about but want to watch right away.

A steam sale with 75% discount on a game i want

Watching the dog with a slice of bread walking around looking for a place to hide it then as always going to her blanket using her nose to lift it and placing the bread underneath it then walk 3 circles on top of her blanket only to go eat the bread immediately after

when a cat gets adopted at the shelter I volunteer at, especially if it's a cat that has been there for a long time and/or has marks against it (like old age, sickness, grumpyness or ugliness). Usually when I'm down this quote by Marx cheers me up:

"If we have chosen the position in life in which we can most of all work for mankind, no burdens can bow us down, because they are sacrifices for the benefit of all; then we shall experience no petty, limited, selfish joy, but our happiness will belong to millions, our deeds will live on quietly but perpetually at work, and over our ashes will be shed the hot tears of noble people."

Okay, this one is going to sound weird on its own so I need to provide some context: I've been house sitting for this family for the past few weeks, and I can't ever sleep so I just stay up all night on their computer (just wait until they see all my activity on Revleft :D). Anyway, I usually leave their house to go back home around six in the morning, just as people are getting up for work, school, what have you. So I'll be driving home through these neighborhoods, with barely any cars on the roads, and it's just...strangely perfect. It's that time in which most people are just beginning to wake up, when the day feels cool and crisp and the sunlight is caught against the cold pallor of the still-full moon. The silence surrounds everything, save for the sound of your tires on pavement. Every now and then, you see an early riser in his or her car heading off to their place of work - and they'll nod at you, as if to voice their solidarity with the weariness of the hour. There's a peacefulness to it that I can't quite place, but I enjoy those car rides back home for that exact reason.

Edit - Okay, it's still weird despite the context it's in. Oh well, I still love it.

The way it usually goes: the young person is polite while the Tea Partier is rude and offensive. The 13 y/o counters reactionary statements with cold hard facts while the ultra-conservative regurgitates the same old shit non-stop.Then in the end, after a very long debate, other people intervene and start bashing the Tea Partier for being so rude while praising the "kid."

The things you see on facebook!

While the "kid" in question was a Stalinist it is still very rewarding seeing a Tea Party idiot so easily get his rear handed to him.

I'm assuming you participated or at least spectated then?Yes a few times.

Was it modeled after the book/movie or was it its own design?I'll just explain it since I really don't remember how the fights were modeled in the movie. There wasn't really a "first rule about night club is you don't speak about fight club" rule and it nipped us in the ass in the end. But you'd just get a text saying "fight club at X place, at X time" and then you'd show up if you could. If you went there you had to say you're willing to fight unless they wouldn't let you in. Sometimes people already planned fights before they went but you'd show up and people would just call each other out. So if someone pointed to me and said he wanted to fight me then that was who I'd fight. That was the basic layout of it.

And last question,, what happened to it?!Well like I said we didn't really have a rule saying don't talk about it so everybody at school was talking about it and people were showing up with cuts and bruises on their faces, broken wrists, etc, and one day someone's girlfriend went to the principal because she was worried about her boyfriend who participated. So then they started rounding people up and talking to them so we stopped it.
So the lesson is make sure if you start a fight club there is a rule that nobody fucking talks about it outside of the fightclub.

Catching grasshoppers and giving them to the cats...or really just watching the cats play in general always makes me smile.

I love standing out in the rain. There's just something glorious about the cold water and getting soaked to the core.

A grey sky. Something about the melancholic atmosphere of a grey sky makes me feel really good, especially if some Agalloch is playing at the time.

One feeling I love is when I realize I'm in college. The fact I don't have to take a shitload of classes I don't care about at all, and best of all...NO GIANT MUTHAFUCKIN' PROJECTS! I get homework and study, but its not about how much work I do. Its about getting the concept and doing well on the exams :).

I hate to break it to you, but you get almost just as much bullshit and busywork in college.

Finding out you have the day off.

I love it when that happens, it's even better when you find out that school is cancelled and you have a ton of unfinished work:laugh:

When you are able to actually carry out that plan you thought of so hard in your head but was super nervous to actually carry it out.The feeling is unparallelled and fills me with inner hope that I can be a self-sufficient person emotionally.
