Hey, I just registered here as I just started researching communism beyond what I heard in history lessons about the USSR and I have to say, it sounds like quite a good idea :lol: However I have some questions that have probably have been asked many times before but here I go:
Under marxist ideas (also is marxist capitalised when written? like Marxist? or just marxist? :confused:) I have gotten the general idea that 'end goal' pure communism is a world-wide, stateless utopia. Now this sounds quite jolly, but how are criminals dealt with? And who makes the laws?
Is it either set up for individual communes to create their own laws and rules, and deal with murderers, harm-doers etc. on their own.
Or will there be some form of general police force with the power? Wouldn't this also create a seperate class aswell? As in a class with power of law over citizens?
Or is it akin to anarchism, where there is no police or effective laws, and people are just expected to not harm society?
I know the idea of 'laws' itself is quite a capitalist idea, and I don't mean laws such as drug prohibition or things like that, I mean how are those who harm society dealt with, such as rapists, murderers, arsonists, etc.?
