Pretty Good debate, I obviously think the socialist did a much better job, but in true socialist form he seamed unprepared and disorganized.
My favorate quote, "Don't blame the person braking the law, blame the person not enforcing it ..." by the tea-party lady.
I wish the socialist would bring up co-determination, corporate structure (the corporate is by definition a state entity), cooperatives as a solution for unemployment, and so on. There are a lot of arguments the socialist left out that I would have loved to hear.

LMFAO on both sides. It's why we have the poliicians we have in power--the people we have at least can organize their thought.

You mean they have speach writers and go on TV shows where they are consistantly codelled and only answer soft ball questions, and go into debates with pre-practiced answers and only talk about things within a very narrow spectrum.
THe politicians we have are no better, dont' believe me? Watch town halls.

Both are pretty pathetic.

Is that seriously the best orator that Socialist Alternative could get for this? I mean, yeah, the capitalist was absolutely absurd with her reliance on moralistic and idealist thought, but the Socialist Alternative guy still could of done put forth a much more concise and passionate argument.

I didn't watch the whole thing. To some extent, this is pointless, because the Tea Party doesn't have anything resembling a coherent ideology.

The point I was making was that, at least in this case, neither did the Socialists.

What else do you expect from Utopians.

The tea party does have a coherent ideology, its called the chamber of commerce policy, you can basically match word for word what the tea-party say with what the chamber of commerce says.
The Socialist had some arguments, unfortunately he juts wa'nst that good at delivering them, and he left out a bunch of socialist arguments that would have killed, but I'd submitt that if we picked someone from revleft theres a good chance he/she would be just as sloppy.
