If you do, what kind? My favourite is Nag Champa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nag_Champa), but sandalwood comes a close second. I can't say I'm fond of the more flowery/sweet varieties.

What about yourselves?

I used to long ago, as did my grandmother.
I used to get the flowery ones but she used to have cone- shaped ones with a tree-like smell.

People who burn incense need to be summarily executed without trial...

This post is another reason why we need a thanks button in chitchat.

Darn.

Now I have the urge to go out and buy some incense.

Maybe I'll just light a scented candle instead.

Hippie. lol Nah Seriously, I use it as a cover for certain unpleasant bathroom odors... And Nag Champa is pretty good, but my favorite was some stuff I bought from some Buddhist monks one time but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was called.

After I dated this chick in Mexico who burnt incense all over the house, I've hated the damn things ever since, and refuse to have them burnt in my current home, even though none of my roommates like incense. Plus most of the ones I've come across give me a headache.

Nag champa is my regular too actually. Amber and opium I also like. Some rose-scented ones are pretty nice. Some kinds I've had are horrible though; they either smell of burning plastic or they're unpleasantly sweet.

If there's been smoking in my room I usually light it to cover or fight the smell. In that sense, incense has quite a practical purpose. I don't see what's that bad about it -- it's not that big a deal whether someone's burns it, is it?

Used to many years ago, but don't anymore... mainly because my flat doesn't smell too bad, whereas the bedroom at my parents old house smelled like dead animals.

I burn a lot of incense as a cover for...things. There is this one I get from the local head shop called forest mist. It is a really clear and light scent. I dig it.:thumbup1:

Was it a woody scent? I love those.

My mom burns it sometimes. Like, sandalwood and patchouli. It's pretty nice.

I buy Nag Champa. No point buying incense if you can't smell it. I end up burning like half a box at once if it's crap.

A friend got it me some as a present, so I'm hoping that doesn't mean my flat stinks :P

I like rose incense but I only burn it when my son isn't around. I also used to burn it after smoking when I shared a house with people who weren't really into weed.

I only use it so that people think I smoke more weed than I actually do.

I burn it because I have this weird thing where I just think my place smells horrible all the time.

Weed smells and tastes lovely. Hash too.

No, but I know someone who does. When his mum saw the lighter that he uses to light the sticks she thought he started smoking and freaked out.

I do enjoy Nag Champa however I've become quite fond of this Japanese cinnamon incense I have bought recently. I am constantly burning sticks and am pumped that there is a thread dedicated to the finer smelling things in life. I'm quite a fan of bakhoor though.
