MILAN (AP) -- Travelers in Italy will face delays during a general strike called to protest the impact on workers of the economic crisis.
The Transport Ministry says on its websites that air and train travel will experience delays due to the four-hour transport strike called for Friday.
Air travel will be affected from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., while train travel will be impacted from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The transport strike is part of a general strike called by powerful CGIL labor confederation to defend workers whom they say have born the brunt of the economic crisis. The strike call extends to all sectors, including teachers and government workers.

General Strike, general strike!! Italy and Greece leading the way. It might only be four hours, but it's still a great display of worker's unity. It appears to be spreading.
