In my stay here, I changed my views and realised I wasn't 100 % correct, this was a enlighting exp. and I wanted to say I have no regrets for the things I said in the past even I don't agree with everything of them. I will not use my desert fox account anymore and sign up a new one. You can ban this account since the name and my believes don't match anymore

What did you consider yourself at first and what do you consider yourself now? What exactly changed you?

You should keep you name (but change that avatar) and just continue to post. That's awesome you've had a change of heart. I would love to hear some of your views and how they've changed.

Well I was bored and I checked my former posts and I the quality of most of them were of a typical teenager that only sees in black & white. I have adapted my views and see everything more in a grey aspect. I don't regret my posts and statements since it is part of my history and don't want to alter it. But one of the biggest things that helped me realise my mistake was the losses of jobs at the Ford Genk in Belgium, 4 months after the workers gave a bit of their pay checks up to make sure the company would remain financial healthy the Ford direction decided to cancel over 5000 jobs and produces their new type of car somewhere else. There is no excuse for such actions, that is just simply betrayel. And if you do such things, like betraying your own work force for you own financial gains than you are a parasite. But I saw I was going the same road as those leeches went and that made me fear about what will happen with me in the future if I kept on like that. So I decided to step back and be less strong right and be more in the middle of everything. I have not chosen my political statement yet, but right now I am in the middle and I like it ...

I considerd myself at first glance a rightwinger, more bending to the extreme right than the left. I had some extreme ideas, that are typical for teenagers and was quit immature like Victor Commie said, I said the reason for this change of heart in my second last post ;) I situate myself now in the middle of left and right. I am neither leftish nor rightish. And I like it that way, when I get older I will choose my final side. But untill now I am in the middle ...

When I first began to observe the proggress I had made here at che-lives, I seriously considered getting a new username so I wouldn't be remembered as the stupid kid who knows nothing and talks out of his ass. But i thought, "what if I mature more, and become a better communist  " So I decided to hold on to Victorcommie untill I became secure enough with my political ideology, then I would get a new username to remove the stigma of any possibly ignorant or foolish things that I had previously written. I soon figured out that folks around here forget pretty quickly and normaly judge you on what they read most recently. Just recently I received 10 nominations to become moderator, despite the fact that when I joined less than a year ago I was ignorant of pretty much everything to do with communsim, except maybe the very superficial stuff.

Wow, I was right... I kinda started noticing in a few posts that your posts were not as easy to ignore as all the rightists here. There were a few threads where I did a double-take and had to wonder why I had previously thought you were an extremist. I still thought of you as right-wing, but much more palatable than most right-wingers here.
Anyways, congrats, I was once an extremely racist teenager and look where I am today :D good luck on your journey to discover your own ideas, you will be proud of the end result.

DF...stay with your instincts. Look within yourself.......things are what they are.....look at things clearly..............ask yourself......is this what things really are or is my perception of things distorting the fact of the matter..

Thanks and I understand how you saw that some of my ideas had still rightish influence. A man can't change from one day to a other. It has to come in steps. And like I said before I am in the middle some of my statements are inspired by rightish influence and others by leftish influence. Both ideologies are good in my opinion but none of them inspire me to go to the more extreme side of them. If you can find peace with yourself on your ideology, I think you have found the right one. And I personally don't find that with left or right ideologies I prefer a mix of them. This may sound strange, but that is how I feel about the subject.

yeah... the only leftist influence on the Liberals is the strikes they have to deal with. they are definitely clearly right-wing now. paul martin has already promised to reverse the marijuana decriminilization, to step away from legalization of gay marriage and to pledge our support where we once had opposition to this Iraq war.

Well I don't know the guy or the politics in your country but that is just f*cked up. Marijuana is not that hard of drug and almost any high school kid has smoked one in his/her life so let it be, I don't think anyone gets addicted to weet :P Gay marriage, well you said they were liberal so that should mean freedom and that also means freedom for anyone to choose his/her partner of the same sex or not ;) And the war of Iraq is over, how can he gives his support for that, the occupation of Iraq could he support but that would just be moronic ;)

I have no clue what the meaning was of your post. I didn't understand a thing about it. And what do you mean with "BUT if you CAN...I don't respect you, because you can treat communists as as well!!!" and change your opinion so fast, you would be amazed how your view on certain subjects change after viewing and exp. some events. And change my mind so fast, I was some weeks inactive before I returned to this forums since I didn't know wich side to choose of the political system

Well I think you take me as a liberal aswell. And I have to disagree, the liberal ideology is far to simplistic and is better for the richer population than for the mid-rich population. I can't find myself in the ideology of the liberal party of Belgium who is currently reigning since they lead horrible and there is so much unrest thanx to them. If I would chose one political ideology that is sane to skip than it would be liberalism :P

well, at least you're not Neo-Liberal, that's good to know. That's the proper term by the way, or at least the leftist one that avoids confusion :P
anyways, like I said, I am starting to like your ideas, even if I disagree with some of them. and I always liked the open way with which you discussed things.
as one member has already mentioned, you remeind me of american kid. a respected left of centre member.

That is only normal you disagree with some of my ideas. Since it would be only a boring life with everyone having the same ideologies. And why try to hide how you feel about something, if you start to lie and don't want to show your true views you are as bad as most politicians these days. And that makes the system so corrupt, respect, loyalty and honour doesn't mean anything anymore in these days of modern politics <_<

umm... what do you mean "why try to hide how you feel"?
I'm not saying I'm becoming a centrist :P I'm saying I find we can be on the same side sometimes. and the ability to respectfully discuss political differences goes along way with me.

That first sentence wasn't put to you my friend, it was put into the general for everyone. That nobody should hide their true colours ;) And I know you can discuss respectfully, since you gain lots of respect of other members around here and the more I see about your posts I gain more respect about you. And you shouldn't become a centrist since if you already chosen your side and you are happy with it, why should you change ;)
