Inti illimani-i recommend El aparecido, dedicated to every single revolutionary person.
Quilapayun-I recommend the song "el pueblo unido jamas sera unido" (the people united will never be defeated)-This song was created during Allende´s goverment.
Sol y Lluvia.
Victor Jara-Most of his songs are good (he was killed during the military coupe).

It is in spanish but the song is nice and if you translate you will see it has a nice meaning.

Now I like some songs from those bands, but the truth is that this stereotype "communist" that comes with this music gives me a certain repulsion.
I prefer listening to music of the Spanish revolution or some hip hop subversive.

But as I said, now I like some songs from Sol y LLuvia, Quilapayun, Inti-Illimani and obviously Victor Jara and Violeta Parra ... But I think it's more a matter of Chilean idiosyncrasy.

Still, I recommend two songs particularly poignant:
- The people united will never be beaten - El pueblo unido jamás será vencido
(unless I am mistaken Quilapayun)

- Cantata de Santa Maria
(Quilapayun)

Ah, Victor JARA! I love him. A famous Irish man by the name of Christy Moore wrote a song about him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGtCeyu9hxQ
