Although I don't agree with the strategic ultra-leftism of the Commune, I thought posting a link to a discussion there would be useful:

I should also note that our very own KC may have contributed to the discussion there, as did Boffy of Boffy's Blog (the latter's comments were similar to Robbo's re. the shopkeepers and required a rebuttal on my part).
