Naturalism

I consider myself a Naturalist, what is your opinion of the philosophy and do you consider yourself a naturalist?

My knowledge of the subject is limited, but yes, I would consider myself somewhat of a naturalist.

It is basically the philosophy that the universe exists objectively and humanity exists within this objective existence, from a subjective position; thus producing a morality which does not apply to the objective, but only to certain subjectives. The universe, the stars, the trees, the planets, etc., don't care for our "morality". The universe naturally evolves based on natural objective law, not on basis of human morality. Meaning, if humanity becomes extinct, the universe is not subjective, and will cry no tears.

I definately agree with that. Humans are just another species of animal and animals are just a combination of chemicals.

Well, with that definition, I would think that people have no choice in the matter. Some could choose to think otherwise, but they would most likely be wrong.

It is easy to be a humanist in our society today. When you live surrounded the works of people and thousands, if not millions of people it is easy to forget about the greater world surrounding us. It is sick how some people refuse even to eat things that came directly from the ground and not from a supermarket.

Anyways, I am obviously a naturalist.
