Good evening everyone, used to potter around here when I was young and foolish, however now that I am just foolish, I figured I'd see how the community was doing, and turns out it's doing great! This is my first visit back in about 5 years, so, time allowing, I aim to get back into posting and keeping myself up to date.

Now considering absolutely no-one will know or remember me, I'll introduce myself.

My name is Thomas (on here), and I'm what I would describe as a social-political activist (vagueness added to make you all curious and excited) which basically means my political, religious and social positions are decided based upon what is truth and what is best for human society as a whole. This tends to put me more or less on the left of things, especially in economics, education and nationalism.

As for what I do, I'm a teacher and part-time music producer/stand-up comedian (which means I'm not good enough at either to make a living).

Anyway, hello to you all, and I hope I'm back for longer than I was away!

o well this is ok I guess

Cheers Psycho.

Open-mic nights, only done a few. Couple of organised ones too, infact I did one in a conservative club, we got about 40 students in, quite fun being in the belly of the beast calling bullshit on all their right-wing views. If you're interested, you're best just going along to and trying to sign up to as many open-mic nights as possible.

o well this is ok I guess

How well did the conservative club take to your jokes?

I wasn't asked back.

But it's actually a great joke, I've got a Polish friend who works behind the bar (They call him John for simplicity) and he arranged an entertainment night when the place is usually closed, so there was comedy, a quiz and a few other fun things and the idea was we'd all bring a few mates and get some students etc down. A few of the regulars found out it was open and decided to pop down, they didn't like me! I think it was the language they didn't like, because the jokes went over their heads, except one about Poles stealing jobs, which was of course, ironic.
