Not really against but against the free market dogmatism.
His new book seems like a good read even if it is by a developmental econonmist like Chang. Great rebuttal against liberals.

its a good book for debating libertarians, even though its still bourgeois economics. I've read it.

There's still some value in reading Keyensian critiques. For example the MR often appeals to Keynes in their criticisms of bourgeois economics, while also developing a more radical critique.

Ha-Joon Chang exposes today’s rapacious capitalism, dominated by finance and driven by short-term profit maximisation. He provides a devastating critique of the ideology of ‘free-market’ economics. But while pointing to fundamental contradictions of the system, Chang draws back from a real alternative. LYNN WALSH, Editor of Socialism Today the theoretical journal of the Socialist Party/CWI, reviews 23 Things They Don’t Tell You About Capitalism
