I've just discovered this forum and I'm glad to find so many leftists here. I'm from Spain, where the left scene is blossoming, as you know. We also have the lowest social spending in Western Europe (Franco's legacy) and an extremely neoliberal government, helped by the IMF and the EU.
I think of myself as a Communist and I'd like to see a more united left (excluding Social-Democrats, as they're not left anymore, at least in my country). I think the only difference that matters today is if you're for or against neoliberalism.
I come from a working class family who's having a very bad time with this crisis. I studied History at University, and lived in Sicily and Scotland.
