Another thing to consider if you want to use Cyrillic for purely decorative purposes.... Not all people can view Cyrillic characters.
For example, if I were to use my real username it would look like this: "Скрипка Пионера" (Skripka Pionera) which some people won't be able to view. They might see "####### #######" instead.
The best way to get around this is to make a picture of the text just the way you want it and post that like an avatar.
