I have read that Yoga should improve the condition, relax the muscles and create inner harmony (reducing aggression and improving concentration abilities).

I have tested it for about one year, and while it is true that the condition has improved, I still don't feel any inner harmony.

Could it be that it all just be a reactionary pile of disinformation?

I think Yoga creates only as much inner harmony as any other physical activity done for a longer period of time - which, I think, varies from person to person.
