Impressive how many of them were brits.
I guess a few other major posters got restricted/bannned too over the years. there were clowns that came and went, but there are posters who I guess over the years put stuff out there but in one way or another have decided to move on. sobering i guess some day someone will write this history

Yeah, mostly due to vague/crude anti-imperialist sympathies I had in high school rather than any cultural reason, I'm one of the whitest people I know (Scandinavian/Welsh, Lutheran/Anglican background).
I'm amazed that I'm not banned!
So many great users on these boards who have been banned for getting on the admin's bad side... Bobkindles, Holden Caulfield... and now KC!

Ha and now you have Bourdieu as your avatar. I can say I have become more Bourdieuian these last few months. I see how people emobdy the structures around them, especially thoose most dominated.

LSD was/is a big arrogant jerk. He never once said anything that was substantive. This is how he wrote
"Vanguard? The people do not need a vanugard, the people are quite capabale of thinking for themeselves".
And then people would be quoting and thanking him. He never knew what he was on about and all it took was CYM to take him to a Trotskyist meeting for him to wake up to himself. I swear VermontLeft was his troll account used to further inflate his own perception of popularity.
Anyone remember NovelGentry and the Rebel Alliance? or how it used to be known ***********.org

Bourdieu is my homeboy. His views on structure/agency and subject/object are so much more nuanced than most social theorists.

Back in the day revleft (then che-lives) restricted "Stalinists". So they left and made Ernesto-Guevara.org. It was a strange place, it just promoted a eclectic left authoritarian aesthetic. CYM and TAT used to troll the shit out of it. A member on here, I think his last name was Led Zepplin was in a web cam chat with the owner/admin of the website and somehow convinced him to masturbate on camera and then e-g forum just shut down.
So that is the story.

Was deboraaro in the day, came in a few months after you, I remember when you modded DYI. Good stuff back then, I modded the Che Guevara forum when it was a full forum, like 6 months after I got here.
Back then the mod of a forum named their replacement. Dhul Figar was an admin. D Day was modding the Che forum. So I PMed him with my "why should you be mod?" citing my real life activism, I won the spot. :D
Dhul and I are still very close outside the forum. Awesome guy.

Anyway, although no-one's interested, I've lurked since late 2009. Only made an account this year, coincidentally 3 months ago today. Basically most of what I know about Marxism came from reading the posts of experienced and intelligent revlefters.

I joined about 6 years ago and started posting actively a few months after that. I orientated towards the anarchist camp, and took influences from the technocrats as well. I did join the SAC, a syndicalist union, in real life in 2007 (I think) although I never was a very active member of it.
Last year political events here in Sweden got me to conclude that I needed to activate myself more, and that in combination with a desillusionment with the syndicalist ideology led me to do some serious rethinking and research. I ended up as a trotskyist and joined the swedish CWI last winter, of which I'm an active member these days.
I wish I could thank Hiero's post about LSD, as it was funny, although I still don't agree that he was a totally worthless poster. He was an 'armchair revolutionary' and perhaps that was also the logical conclusion of his politics -- or perhaps it was to become a social democrat reformist as he eventually did -- but he did make some valuable contributions too on certain subjects such as discrimination.

Close enough to the truth but not exactly!
Now, who remembers who the original owner of E-G was? It wasn't Cheaten / Death as he was known back then (probably some others names that I've forgotten) or Jorge Miguel as was his name that he returned to these forums under! I assume he was banned or has he just changed name again?
Anyway, with the exception of Malte / Edelweiss, I believe Pastradamus is the only person who still posts here who registered before me. Though I just had a quick browse through the Member List and noticed that Moskitto, registered before both of us and once holder of the most posts, was active as recently as June 2011 though he hasn't posted since a single post in 2008 and then 2003 before that. There's also a few others oldies who have been known to disappear for a few years before returning and who would be older than both myself and Pa (Is he called that anymore? Do you remember when he was called that?) Some of them were posting in the early part of 2011 and last year.
