Hey All,

I'm an undergraduate student in New Jersey, USA. I'm organizing at my campus around a living wage struggle against Sodexo, and am doing a lot of work around anti-austerity actions being taken by our governor, especially in the area of cuts to higher education.

I don't have any firmly held political ideology. I'm certainly to the left of the Democratic party, and am a fan of Marx as much as Chomsky. I work with the Democratic Socialists of America as well as the Socialist Party USA. But the important thing to me is bringing what leftists are left in around me in opposing capitalism, articulating alternative forms of organization and distribution, and trying to make it happen, irrespective of the ideologies involved.

I suppose I became a leftist through... internet forums. I was an avid gamer throughout my adolescence and would frequent their affiliated forums. It really tuned my rhetorical skills, and I increasingly would find myself debating people in the philosophy or political sub-forums. All that was thrown in to practice my freshman year at university when a student walked up to me asking me to sign a petition to support worker's rights. I joined the Young Democratic Socialists club on campus that Thursday and have been an active Leftist ever since.

Nice to meet all of you.
