Please post your opinion here.
In case that most of you agree to ban this jerk, I'll exclude him from the community by banning his ip.
To Fantomas: This is not meant as a measuure of censorship, I'll not delete your messages. It's beacuse you are poisoning the community with your rascist, sexist, homophobic and just stupid messages.

If you banned everyone here who called someone names or who was rude for not agreeing with their point of view, I think you'd ban nearly everyone here. Fantomas is by far the rudest, but I'm surprised by a lot of the downright disrespectful things said here.

I've been wrestling with this... I suppose I was just hoping Fantasmos would go away. I agree with rebel only in the sence that fantasmos is by far the rudest individual to post here...however I think we should draw the line somewhere... and since we banned a militant leftist who supported the WTC attacks (Myordren of Che) who did alot to support this community, I think we should ban a racist, homophobic, sexit jerk who's doing his part to 'poison' this community.

So ; AYE for banning.

cmon now, no one takes him/her seriously (i hope not!!)..

i vote against the ban...

Kez

hey
firstly who was that militant leftist?
u got his email address i wanna contact him/her

Anyway
lets not ban him, he is 1, we are many, surely we are mature enough to ignore or prove him wrong

when he creates a new topic just ignore him, soon he will realise that he will have to make sensible comments otherwise we gonna ignore the wanker.

FANTOMAS YOU ARE A FUCKING WANKER STFU

RedCeltic

The person I mentioned that was banned... actually was banned because he had used several user names to support his own aguments on Sept. 11... and listed an e mail address under the user name [email protected]

and under the user name A [email protected]

Also I want to point out that Malte banned him without first finding out what the general concent was about it... I think him doing a survey before banning anyone is a good idea. And if most people don't want a banning, that's fine... as I've said I've been wrestling with the idea myself, but I just don't see him adding anything constructive. There are others I don't agree with Regan, Madmax,Augusto, etc... but they actually add constructive aguments and mostly conduct themselves in respectful way.

I think that I should abstain from this vote.

But on a related topic, Malte, I noticed that, like me, Fantamos does not have a word under his name ("Companero" or "Guerillero"). Why is that, Malte?

I'm going to abstain from voting.

But on a related topic, I noticed that Fantamos has joined me in the " " club...that is, people who don't have a cool word under their name. Why is that, Malte? I mean, I'm supposing that it was you that revoked both of our labels. Why did you do that?

kinda ironic considering he's attacked me the most

oh well
don't ban him malte. he's losing stamina now

I don't know... I think we should ban someone for abuse of the board, which in the end was the reason for banning Myodren of Che. No one elce posts duplicate messages all over Che-Lives. Isn't it just as bad as using multi user names as Myodren did?

Comrades, maybe your right, and maybe he will just 'go away'... however just how far do you think is.. 'too far'? He doesn't just hinder those of us that disagree with his poitics... but everyone interested in constructive conversation/debate... This isn't about what he says but how he says it.

i say ban him.
Why? because he makes no contribution to this distution space. His critics are not constructive, his insults are gratuitous (like nickadamos and others) and he floods the forums with useless crap.

i dont see why we should put up with this shit.

gooddoctor

i see no reason why he should stay. this isn't about his wholly questionable ideology, but the fact that he's abusing his anonymity to cowardly insult others without offering us anything to discuss. if he isn't going to enter discussions in a civil fashion then he should be banned.
take agusto, we all despise his specious reasoning, but he is respectful to us as individuals and has a right to stay and have his arguments either ignored or crushed. we may even turn him if he spends enough time here and actually listens to us. this fantamos is just a bigot though, and there is no hope for him. personally offensive people must be banned in the interests of our community and the underlying philosophy of discussion boards.

If youre going to ban fantomas, why don't you ban vox for calling me and reagan filth repeatedly and saying that he needs no justificiation. If some body could please produce the insults fantomas has put forth in a list, or something cause i'm having difficulty finding them. And don't list anything to the effect of "stinking commmies" because people who you have no trouble with people, such as gooddoctor, who actually espouse "death to the fascists". Not only that, but they call anyone they disagree with fascist.

those are actually funny malte, i dont know about fantomas, but reagan seems to be the type that would get a kick out of it.

i was only joking about killing fascists like you, i'm a pacifist. but i believe a fascist is anyone who believes that one person is better than another, not the people i disagree with, although sometimes i call my friends fascist in a humourous way if someone says something to piss me off. the system of capitalism that you are always apologising for is the epitomy of fascism because it presumes that the richest people are most important. ergo, you are a fascist.

well.....that's probably because you're not a companero or guerillero because you don't support che or his ideals. it makes sense to me...

but seriously though drunktank you should know that we don't ban people here simply because of one or two statements we don't agree with. and trust me i know that malte really has a difficult time banning anyone.

Yes, go ahead and ban Fantomas. He has nothing to say and nothing to add to this community, unless you consider his pathethic rants as something "useful".

I believe I've talked about this before, shortly after I first joined and the other banning was the topic.

I came out against that banning because, despite what the poster had said, I felt that it should be discussed on its own merits.

I believe that I also said I've run a few boards myself, and the only time I felt that banning was appropriate was when some right-wing troll came along who only served to disrupt the board. Now, you can all probably tell that I don't like Reagan Lives or Agusto, but, if I were running this board, I wouldn't ban them. I would, however, ban our little phantom mouse.

A difference of opinion is one thing. Trolling is something else entirely.

Now then, I see that Agusto has something to say about me. It seems that post of mine, the one he couldn't answer, got to him. I also see that he's using something I wrote to Reagan Lives as a quote. Hee! I'm amused. However, Agusto wrote, "If youre going to ban fantomas, why don't you ban vox for calling me and reagan filth repeatedly and saying that he needs no justificiation."

Actually, I've said that all right-wingers are filth, and I've given reasons for that twice. I'm sure that the posts are still available for you to read. If you wish to align yourself with right-wingers, then fine, do so. And, of course, I'll think you're filth, for the reasons I've already stated. Twice.

I'd say ban him

And yes I was pretty P155ed off by what he said about Cambodia.

But don't ban people just for being right-wingers. Ban idiots who just use stereotypes and assumptions without giving logical backing.

Yes, i say, ban him!!

And why?
Because he's just some ignorant ass who thinks he's funny because he's screwing up our serious threads.
If he whas a little nicer to us, and seriously discussed with us, then there wasn't any problem.
But because he can't do that, ban him!
Our clown isn't funny anymore.

I hope that I've counted the votes correctly:

Pro Ban: 12
Contra Ban: 9

Fantomas has been banned.
