Police in Oklahoma were searching Wednesday for Charles Dyer, a former U.S. Marine who's posted revolutionary messages on the Internet, after he failed to show up for the beginning of a trial on charges that he sexually assaulted a child.
Dyer has claimed to be part of a group called the "Oath Keepers (http://oathkeepers.org/oath/)," made up of current and former police and military members, who say they'll refuse to take any order that runs contrary to the U.S. Constitution. Oath Keepers has denied that he was ever a member, and Dyer has insisted that the charges against him are part of a government conspiracy.
He was charged in Jan. 2010 of raping a 7-year-old member of his own family, along with possessing a stolen military grenade launcher. His trial was set to begin on Monday, but when he did not show up the judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

Dyer, who once posted on the website Stormfront which is a hate site geared towards neo-Nazis, the Klan, and Aryans, is a co-administrator of the WRAM website (http://wellregulatedamericanmilitias.com/). WRAM has recently endorsed the border actions of the controversial neo-Nazi JT Ready, who is with the Nationalist Socialist Movement (NSM). We’ve previously reported that a run through of WRAM’s membership roles showed quite a number of known neo-Nazis, neo-Confederates, and white supremacists.
