This is old teamster bullshit (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/12/seiu-nuhw_n_925584.html). This is what happens when unions become top down organizations and are organized like corporations, they start competing for workers, rather than organizing and agitating, this is why I'm loving whats going on in the teamsters, the internal democracy movement.
If you have real bottom up unions it does'nt matter what union it is, its the shop workers that have the say. Its disapointing to me that instead of fighting for working class americans, they are fighting over dues from allready organized hospital workers, its a shame.
The SEIU broke off from the AFL-CIO, and it was kind of a democratic brake, more and more however the AFL-CIO looks like its doing the right thing and the SEIU is looking more like a buisiness-union.
