Third positionists to the core and completely centered around Zhirinovsky. Ultra nationalist; authoritarian and offering easy "solutions".

His party has been somewhat consistent in its electral votes....almost never rivalling the communists...who often align themselves with this clown. The polls show his potential votes are dropping...though his party will remain the third largest.

Interestingly enought though...the LDPR was the very first party to be officially sanctioned. Back in the 90's it was rumoured that the party had its origins in the KGB and had deep ties with the established CPSU elite. But so far I have not seen any proof of that.

Considering the way he orders his bodyguards to throw people out of discussions and orders them shot in the videos I would not be surprised if this is true.

I do remember him when he become such big star on TV on Gorbochov times. His speeches was so stupid even he told that vodka will be few pennies cost if he elected. if you look more on youtube I think you will find horrors of his talking about "Dollar and prostitutes is harsh swearing" in sauna almost naked is discussing to watch his views r I watched few years ago and got English subtitles.
