Somebody with a U.S. IP has broken into my GMail account.
This has been happening a few times over the last year with different American IP's.
Also about 6 months ago, some hacker from India got in and changed the language.
Any advice?
Is it because of my affiliation with the Communist Party?

Check your computer for viruses (keyloggers).

It was done from a university campus most probably. Golden Gate University. It might not be best to give out your email to everyone. Try deleting your operating system if you're truly concerned and then use a new one. Oh and before you do that download avast free anti-virus. Check your bios for any viruses, and if you don't find any, its probably in your OS. If you find one in your OS delete it, and search some information about it. If it seems like a big problem, change your OS, then install an anti-virus and don't go to websites which you think might be a problem, use mozzilla, and virus check everything that you download.

Or go to www.bleepingcomputer.com (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com), where a group of professionals will help you REALLY clean up your computer. This will be a lengthy process, but will save you an OS reinstall.

Are you on Windows? If you are, it's most probably a keylogger or a RAT, so you may want to download some anti-virus software and scan with Malwarebytes. It is also possible that the person could be using your recovery question if it is easy or if they know you personally, I used to do that by searching my friends Facebook page for the answers to recovery questions. Took a whole 1 minute. It's most probably a skid doing random hacks, unless affiliation with the Communist Party is a cause of concern in your country (like mine).

Has happened before, with Italy and with the US too I believe. I changed my password, happened again, changed the password to something pretty long and impossible and it hasn't happened again.
