What's the big deal? They clap to a rhythm, pretty sure that's something they do in Latin America. It's like a chant.

That's why this is in chit-chat.

They clap to a rhythm because they've organized to such a level that their claps are simultaneous and at a rhythm because they're socialist. On the other hand Americans production is not planned but is anarchic, our clapping shows this. North Korea is therefore the most socialist because they can organize their people to dance in sync with each other, it's crazy.

Susu, you are right for once  : Fidel is either (a) from outer space, or (b) zombified. :)
Factually, there was an independent musical group in Cuba that got seriously repressed by the state (this happened within the last decade, at least), with one of its members (I think part of his name is Gorki, and if I remember correctly, his offense was being a "socially dangerous person") having to do time in prison, probably because the group insisted on writing and performing their own punk music. One of their songs included the phrase "coma andante," (which looks like it means "a walking coma," but I could be wrong), for the customary address to the lider maximo, Comandante.
First Fidel, and now, Raul. Who knew that socialism entailed dynastic rule?

I think it has more to do with Raul Castro being one of the original revolutionaries, and have been involved in the cuban revolution and state from the beginning. A good choice for an interim general-secretary from Fidel Castro's long reign, and the new blood.
