What did Che like besides rugby... and soccer i guess...?
Did he play baseball or basketball like Fidel?

I saw a picture once of Che holding a baseball bat, poised to hit a ball. And I also saw some of him playing golf. i'll try to find the links when i have more time.

Che was a keen amateur football (soccer) and rugby player at both school and local level when he was in Argentina.

swimming and other fitness style sports like running and bike riding, he did that when he was younger, but that's because his dad made him
he wanted a strong energetic son

How can you call sports games for the rich?
Golf was invented by some drunk scotsman with a bent pipe, and a sheep testicle...
And i only like soccer if there's a riot afterwords...
But i do know Che loved golf, when he was a kid he was a caddy, and of course we've all seen him putting in his Olive Green Fatigues.

is that meant to be some snide anti-che comment?
i dont think it was cos his dad made him its because he wanted to be fit and healthy to make his asthma less worse.

Excuse me, but Ernesto wasnīt a poor guy. He grew up in a family with good economic position, thatīs why he do a lot of sports, and of course rugby and Soccer.
Some saints, grew up with a lot of money, but they leave it all to help others. In some ways, Ernesto is like those saints.

exactly...
che spent the first several years of his life living at an expensive vacation resort. the guevara name was known all through argentina as a "rich" name. che was definetly very well off until he left argentina

THIS IS TRUE:
CHE LOVED AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL
Sure he was around when it was the VFL, but he wanted it to be the AFL, and he wanted a team from Perth, and that means he would have gone for the West Coast Eagles.
Che knows his stuff. :D

Wow I didn't even know rugby was for rich people. I saw it once and it looked pretty tough w/out pads and all. I didn't know rich people liked to get dirty and hurt. (At least most of them)

In Australia at least, I know it to be a 'private school' sport. So I suppose the 'rich' implications are there.

Here @ Argentina, in public schools there is not Rugby (of Course soccer ;) ), but if want, i can go to a any club to play it, like many others, hockey, volley and basquet.

Bah! Thugby!
I have to say, I don't particularly like the idea of randomly bashing into people, but then I don't like most sports. Only sport I play is fencing (and yes I know I'm going to get a lot of posts from ill-educated people about the upper class nature of fencing).

Yes...
I donīt know how others universities are in latin america, but many times iīve heard University of Buenos Aires or Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) itīs the biggest and one of the best. We have some Nobels from UBA, 2 in medicine and 1 in Chemestry.
Many ppl from other countries come here only for the University ;), and one of the greatest this is totally, only some money in the inscription...
www.uba.ar
No english site :(
Best Regards.
