Comrades,
I have a fear that just about anything I do with regard to either of the two sites, whether it be adding friends, posting pictures of myself or including my name is basically a guaranteed super easy way to get myself tracked if I use the sites as an outlet for revolutionary left ideas. With that said, I'd sort of like to lay high and lay low at the same time if that makes any sense.
Unfortunately I don't know the first thing about how I can be loud and agitate people while keeping a low profile at the same time. It seems like an impossible goal. Now, that is to say that revolutionary left demands probably wouldn't be taken seriously in the immediate term and would only be seen as dangerous after serious protests or riots of the working class take place, but I'm trying to look ahead here.
Any ideas?

Edit: sort of a weird comment if you are really worried
Idk, i know what you mean. i dont want to be overly zealous and post things on peoples statuses or have certain things up there pertaining to leftist issues but at the same time its part of who i am..

Don't put anything on Facebook you don't want others to see. Personally, I could care less what someone (be it a friend or even law enforcement) sees on my Facebook wall. Don't put anything stupid (crime), but don't worry about being tracked.

Facebook exposes your networks too.
In years gone by, it would take a lot of physical surviellence and infilitration and the like to expose the members of a network, but with Facebook, it can now be done by simply clicking on your friend's list.
Privacy is an illusion on Facebook. The advice I was always given, although I usually forget, is to not say owt on Facebook that you wouldn't say face to face to the filth. The usual trigger words apply too. A very easy and crude experiment could be done anywhere online by creating a new page/thread and putting in the text, random words about bomb ingredients and components. Then you can sit back watch the number of page views skyrocket as the crawlers pick up on it.
If law enforcement wants information on you, they'll go to Facebook and get it in moments no matter what you do. However, you can protect yourself from employers who might sack you for your political activities by simply putting your profile as private and not using photos of yourself.

I don't really see why you have to use facebook or google+ at all. That said, I'm still waiting for diaspora to become available...

Meh, I put what ever on my Facebook. I'm not scared of the police knocking on my door and arresting me because I put my political beliefs on a social networking site. Just don't put radicalized statuses or plan protests on Facebook and I think you should be fine.

The whole idea of being vocal and maintaining a low profile seems to be a paradox. I guess you could use a nickname to make it a little more anonymous. Idk though really.
