So, I'm trying to find a new hairstyle for myself. Usually I just shave it all off completely but I have grown my hair out to about 2-3 inches and want something different. I have really thick hair, I always get told women would kill for it by the barbers and hairstylists and I want something short but classic and good looking. Here is a sample I've found and was hoping some people could post more reference pix I could use.

I want something like that, short and shaved up the sides with it a bit longer on top and slicked back. Preferably I am looking for pictures from the 30s or 40s or pictures referencing that area. If members have other styles that are short and generally what I'm looking for but different I'm open to suggestions.

Short Hair styles man? If you have nice thick hair its best to go medium length imo. Not only will not only will the ladies and/or gentlemen you date love it, but so will you. I have that type of hair and I find myself constantly playing with it, its fucking great, trust me.

But if you go shorter, I'd recommend keeping it longer on the top, with appropriate bangs.

Yeah but see the thing is, the longer my hair gets, the more fro like it gets, so anything that's not short or whatever would seem hard to maintain and take awhile to style for the day. I've had medium length style before and it looks great right after I get out of the hair place, then the next day, it's like afro, legit, so a shorter style seems better/easier.

That's what I was planning on, I'm trying to get some sample pictures so the ladies know what I'm talking about. I'm thinking about getting the style I posted in the OP.

both are easy to do with a bit longer, i have basically the ivy league but with longer hair, looks pretty good, going to look like shit soon though. i am growing it out for a halloween costume...

Hair styles, to an extent are not things you can choose. It depends on how your hair is tamed and how it grows. The best thing to do, in my opinion, is to not worry about it too much and keep it natural. Go for a medium, not to short and not to long. Or that's at least how I put it.

On the other hand, you can go all out and grow big ass hair or get a buzz cut, it's really up to you. The people around you's opinion should not matter, as hair is annoying to deal with and I personally wish we evolved to have no hair at all anywhere.
