We see them running for president? All it would really do is cut out the middle-man, but still. This might be a stupid question, so feel free to move to chit-chat.

They already are in power in America. They have the government in their pockets. It's essentially an oligarchy.

Well, in the US, corporations have the same rights as a person coupled with limited liability of the employees.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_personhood

Meaning, the Corporation is responsible for its actions and takes the hit from lawsuits, fines, etc, not necessarily the board of directors or any individuals unless there was a serious crime committed (see Enron).

Although, maybe someone well versed in corporate law can add to this as I'm not a lawyer nor am I qualified for an in-depth analysis of the protections and rights of a Corporation in the US.

Scumbag Conservatives:

Say gay marriage will lead to bestiality and redefine marriage
(Mitt Romney's Face)
Promote the idea that corporations are people.

if corporations are people, and stock ownership means you have control over a corporation; then if you are a major stock trader, you are a slave owner.

mindfuck.

I think the term used by Michael Moore is "plutocracy", meaning "rule by the rich".

No, its not chit chat material, it's a valid fucking concern. The only thing barring them from doing so legally is the fact that the were never "born" but then again, they aren't really "people" either so it's just a supreme court case away from them being fully able to run for president.
