Maher's way of mocking both the right wing and the "far" left.

You know, I was watching this episode the other day while eating dinner. Regardless of his mockery of the "far left", this dude is funny as hell. He's kind of like an uncensored John Stewart.

Maher is funny, but he is rabidly liberal. Called Lenin "right wing".

I am getting tired of him mentioning how socialist Europe is. He does it nearly episode. You would think Europeans live in a free access utopia if you only listened to him.

I honestly don't think that any meaningful left featured on his radar. His purpose was to indirectly mock the far-right, and his targets were mostly middle class lifestylists. Bugger doesn't know or care that anyone past right-socdems exists.

Thats not so bad. He uses it as a political pressure. Like "look, there is a place that things are doing much better, why dont we try it". I feel fine with it.

He thinks that communists got relegated to the museum of ideas (along with alchemy and "rain follows the plough") when the USSR collapsed.
Pretty common for liberals to think.

I think he's funny, and has rather good politics for someone mainstream. It would b very interesting to see what would happen if a far-liberal tendency sprung up in the democrats.

Him being a liberal or not, I think this is hilarious and support the idea.

Hear, hear. I was hoping it was a missplelling of maybe yet another great US tradition we Brits would do well to replicate. Such parties could have been thrown annually on the Queen's birthday, for instance.

Mahar is still a capitalist I think if Jon were really to be let off his chain he'd be one of us.

But doner is turkish :confused::confused::confused:
Anyway I like Bill Maher mainly for his anti-religious stance and promotion of scientific thought, but he proves to be quite reactionary whenever anybody who is anti-capitalist appears on his show, but that's typical of a liberal. Not to mention he is a zealous pro-zionist.
All that said, I think his influence is largely a positive thing for American politics in an overall sense.

That looks like a pitta to me. It's just not the same style of pitta you most commonly see sold in supermarkets in Britain.

Lol. When most people hear of some new ethnicity becoming prominent in america there are generally two types of reactions 1) "NO FURINER ALLOWED, STOP TAKIN R JOBS AND RAPIN OUR WOMEN, 2) Cool, Good for them.
Me what I think of is this: "MMMMMMM yes bring your tasty tasty cuisine so that my tastebuds never get bored" And the middle east has some VERY nice cuisine, Alas the only place I know where to go to get some is a little place down in savannah. It has this wrap with a white tangy yogurt sauce of some kind, just beautiful. Never had any thing else like it.

I must say, I do love me some good middle eastern food as well(falafel mmmmm). I heard the FBI was actually trying to find terrorists by tracking falafel sales, so it's not the safest type of food for us revolutionaries.

Are you serious?
So not only do I get "randomnly checked," everytime I try to use aeroplanes, I can now, also be tracked because I want to sell falafel and other delicious halal foods on the street?
