Florida is looking more and more like Nazi-Germany. Just a few months ago, young men were arrested for feeding the homeless in Orlando. Now one is murdered for smoking marijuana.:(

This from the state that won Bush the election and voted in a white collar criminal as Governor.

Not to mention Rick Scott.

Edit: ah, someone got there first.

LMAO!!! Yeah, I hate it every single time I read the Tallahassee Democrat. Alex Sink was by no means a Socialist. However, at least she didn't "earn" her fortune from ripping off Medicare. I voted for her because I knew she'd at least work to preserve the status quo. Scott is privatizing everything.

On July 10 at around 1:30 a.m., Eric complained of a severe headache and began hallucinating that an imaginary person was on top of him. He had been throwing up for hours as guards called a nurse who did not answer her phone.

Records show that lockup supervisors and the facility's superintendent, Anthony Flowers, instructed staff not to call 9-1-1.

Fucking despicable.
Incidentally, the website on which I'm reading this tragic story is really horrendously ugly.

I really, really hope florida burns to the ground (not as in murdering anyone, metaphorically speaking).

Yeah. Soon as I'm through with college, I'm heading to the Northeastern U.S.

Florida, along with a lot of the South, and probably California and Arizona too are going to hell in a handbasket, unfortunately those are the most screwed states right now, and the government in Florida is definately not helping (at least we have a good progressive base in California).

Yeah, compared with Florida, California is progressive.
