Hey guys/gals/pangendered friends!

So, I've had this account for almost a year and have been completely silent. Go me, right?

I've been on-the-left since I was 16; I toyed with Marxist ideas and general anti-capitalism for a while, but after going to an anti-War rally hosted by the local Socialist org, I knew that's where I was. In the last four years, I've been involved with a lot of forms of Socialism, from Social-Anarchism to Leninism/Trotskyism: I still consider them to be just different methods to achieve the same goal. I'm more inclined towards Luxemburgism and Rosa Luxemburg's writings for this moment, and have found no real disagreements with them (although I've always said multiple revolutionary parties are a positive rather than a negative... not quite sure of Rosa's view on that, though)

I'm an undergraduate Politics student in Australia, so that's made me a little more ideology-oriented, but I try to level that out with as much action as I can. Whether that's a rally or a debate depends on the situation, but in either instances, I do like to see Socialism having an impact.

Beyond politics, I'm strongly Transhumanist in my outlook on the future of technology. I consider technology to be able to change the human condition, either in making life and the (human/natural) environment better, longer lasting or more sustained. I wouldn't have this forced on anyone, of course, but I'd love to apply these sort of technologies to myself as they become available.

I've been an avid supporter of the LGBTI rights, but I feel equally obliged to support sex-workers rights whenever I have the opportunity. It's not fair to discriminate against either a gay person nor a prostitute, in my opinion.

I've also had a lot of run-ins with both extreme racists and extreme sexists, so I perhaps take issue to these things more than perhaps local Socialist groups would rally against.

I'm also a Buddhist... you can thank my hippie parents for that.

I was trying to make that short, but it didn't work out... sorry guys!

Questions? Comments? Let me know below, or message me. Or both if you're really friendly!
