Army Lt. Gen. William G. "Jerry" Boykin,
dressed in his Army uniform, told an Oregon religious group in June that radical Islamists hate the U.S. "because we're a Christian nation and the enemy is a guy named Satan." He told an audience in Florida in January that a Muslim Somali warlord was captured because "I knew my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol."

The United States' "spiritual enemy," Boykin told the Oregon group, "will only be defeated if we come against them in the name of Jesus."

I've been looking for that link for two days, ever since I saw the story on NBC. The guy is a total nut.

EDIT: Ah, damn. The link doesn't work, I am not an LA Times member. Is there another link you know of?

2nd EDIT: Here's a link that everyone can access, it's the best one I can find.

yet people deny this is about religion. i've heard that president bush doesn't read the news because he thinks it might be biased. he supposedly gets all his info from condi and dick and colin. let's hope they read the news as well. he really has no clue.
