Sometimes you need to ignore the narrative to appreciated the juicy gameplay underneath. For example i bought Homefront. Fucking awful story and campaign mode, but very nice CoD multiplayer competitor online. certainly makes a change from the mapathy i experience playing constant black ops.

Gameplay. It feels so... tired. Duke has Halo-like regeneration, only two weapons at all times, there are no true innovations, gunplay is lacking, too few enemies to shoot, maze-like level design (it's simply not Duke to run around to find some hidden vent) and too few enemy types.

There are some nice moments like gigantic end bosses, little puzzles here and there and cruising around in Duke Truck, but these are rare.

Storyline, well... It's Duke Nukem, what do you expect? :lol: He has some hilarious one-liners and I like the idea of "Duke Cave" and how he is some kind of superhero-like character.

Duke doesn't rip heads off nor does he shit down their necks but something similar does occur.
