I alright, every once in a while I have this problem. I will be falling asleep and then I breathe in some air and I fully wake up. It's like I'm forgetting to breathe. What could be causing this?

Actually, my breathing has been normal, but when I'm falling asleep I always get this funky feeling in my chest that keeps me awake when I inhale.

sleep apnea or whatever it's called and it's not forgetting to breathe it's just a sudden stoppage of breathing like really bad snoring...definately something you need to see a doctor about. My dad has it, and they gave him a machine

I was also going to suggest sleep apnea, it is fairly common, especially in overweight people.
I'd reccommend seeing a doctor about it.

That could be it... apparently I do snore a lot as well. I don't know if any of the effects are trouble going to sleep, but I'll find out what's going on.
