I smoke about 3/4 cigs a day, been smoking for a few months...

I am not a doctor, I don't smoke so have no experience of smoking, and this is from searching on Google, but you might have a bronchial infection. I would say get plenty of rest, keep hydrated and make sure you get plenty of Vitamin C.

i used to get this a lot but its greenish yellow. I dont smoke though.

The only thing that gets rid of it in me is antibiotics.

It could be an infection or it could be some food particles, but if you are coughing it up regularly I'd lean towards the former. If it doesn't cause you too much discomfort you could wait for it to pass.

Yeah my GF said it's because I sleep with my fan on right next to my head (it's hot here and I can't sleep unless I'm cool).

Dunno if that statement holds any scientific truth though...
