Do the conditionss which have led the working class acting for itself rather than in itself share commonalities across history?

If capitalism is the total system which shapes the conditions we find ourselves in, and the "collapse" of capitalism is impossible (fucking collapsists :sneaky::lol:), how is it that consciousness can develop to the point that the overthrow of capital is possible? Are we a bunch of structuralists struggling to act as agents for the overthrow of the structure which produced us?

I'm going to keep drinking until I fall asleep, so bvy all means respond
