They started flying those flags in REACTION to the claims that are racist as a way to prove otherwise.

By the way,racism and fascism are not mutually inclusive. Its possible to 'not be racist' and be far right. Moreover its a moot point. the EDL's entire raison d'être is organised islamophobia. They are a hate group.

The EDL is indeed far right, however it has more in common with the newer right wing populist movement rather than the older fascist movement which the BNP and NF have their roots in.
