Until I have something else to do.

You know I wish I knew. I've been having the same problem...the last few weeks, I haven't really been grabbed by any discussion...

I find lots of interesting discussions here.

What discussions would you like to see that aren't here?

It was less a comment about revleft, and more a comment about me and how I'm easily distracted.

I hate you guys for assuming that it means I think revleft never has any interesting discussions because I'm never doing anything because I don't have a life >_>.

Though in all seriousness. It'd be kinna nice if people were roughly familiar with Marx (EG has read, at least skimmed over, most of Das Kapital). I always find I'm constantly going over stuff that Marx covered in the first three chapters of DK, or that just make fucking sense to any rational minded person.

They're only interesting until somebody else posts in them and totally ruins them and then they're just boring

I find I go through phases of only posting in shit-chat because nothing grabs my attention and staying up all night posting in heated discussions that genuinely make me angry.

they've banned to many stupid people. arguing with idiots is what makes revleft fun.

^ Yeah, I think that's it actually.

I'm sick of being called a troll.

A thread gets a group think going and I point out an error in the logic. Then, I'm called a troll. It feels like a waste of time when I put effort into replying to a post and some just calls me a name. It's unproductive and silences people that would otherwise be willing to comment.

I think it's the opposite actually. A lot of the more insightful folks have been banned for this or that over the years. A lot more just sort of get driven away for this or that reason.

Who knows.

Then it would still be about as fun as it ever was previously. However, the philosophy board of old and such was in fact just about the worst board on Revleft at the time, rather than the best, which suggests that raging argumentation where each side considers the others idiots is in fact profoundly dull.

I disagree. They banned all the serious posters and kept all the trolls.

I've been flicking through revleft for half an hour without actually reading or typing anything :glare:

Yes a lot of good members were banned, so now we're left with noobs such as myself.

I'd like to see more discussion in philosophy, and economics.

One of the reasons opposing idealogies is so popular is because there is room for debate there.

I was actually speaking of the users stupidity relative to my own stupidity. I find that since the purges I am bottom of the barrel, perhaps I'm next to go:).
