Who would you pick? I read some of that silly revleft convention thread sillyness and realized that I would much rather drink at a bar with with a few users I individually liked than shlep out to some big gathering.


My list off the top of my head would be Q, bcbm, Sam_b, Noxion, and Fawkes. Doesn't really denote any real connection to anyone, since I don't keep any kind of contact with any revleft users.


As an aside, I would pop adderal and sit in a coffee shop with the following users: Zanthorus, ZeroNowhere, DNZ, Devrim, also Noxion, Bilan, and the rest of the resident theory/shit buffs. Although I think I'd be way out of my league, watching DNZ continuously throw monkey-wrenches and curve balls into the conversation would probably be satisfying enough.

Pfft. Hardly could even be called a Cuba Libre at that point, might as well just call it Lime Coke. No, no, no. A proper Cuba Libre, to keep the right taste, must stick to the 2:1 ratio, with half a lime for every 2-2.5 ounces of rum. So a third of it should be white rum (about two ounces for a regular drink glass.) Keeping with that ratio, a pint would require 5.33 ounces of rum, more than double the usual. So, no I don't think I'd make it to ten pints without being half dead and my liver suing me for cruel and unusual punishment.

(and yes I'm well aware that the standard ratio is 3:1, but I like my Libres strong.)

Well, you beat me to the punch about the 3:1 ratio. At that ratio, you're basically looking at an alcohol content of 10% assuming the rum you're using is 80 proof (which many aren't). Damn I miss being able to smoke in pubs. My friends and I only ever go to pubs where we can sit outdoors and smoke, though at least now a lot of places have got outdoor heaters and sheltered drinking areas.

I'm not a big drinker, but I'd definitely love to have a pint or 7 with Jazzratt and Sentinel, and maybe Noxion also so we can get down to business with the Atlantic tunnel discussion. I've talked for many years with Sentinel when we're both stoned, so I think I'd rather smoke with him than drink.

Who would you pick? I read some of that silly revleft convention thread sillyness and realized that I would much rather drink at a bar with with a few users I individually liked than shlep out to some big gathering.

My list off the top of my head would be Q, bcbm, Sam_b, Noxion, and Fawkes. Doesn't really denote any real connection to anyone, since I don't keep any kind of contact with any revleft users.

As an aside, I would pop adderal and sit in a coffee shop with the following users: Zanthorus, ZeroNowhere, DNZ, Devrim, also Noxion, Bilan, and the rest of the resident theory/shit buffs. Although I think I'd be way out of my league, watching DNZ continuously throw monkey-wrenches and curve balls into the conversation would probably be satisfying enough.
