Thoughts? Humala just got inaugurated a few day ago. It seems Humala and his party are anti-imperialist and similar to Chavez and Morales etc. Another Latin American country to shove it to the imperialists.

His party has suspect ties to the private sector, and his anti-imperialist rhetoric is only a front I think. He might offer the working class slightly better conditions, but I would be really surprised if he started expropriating the capitalist class or empowering communities with legal democratic decision-making. I'd love to be proved wrong but don't get your hopes up.

Now we'll sit back and wait for the state and capitalism to wither away.
This guy is a nationalist and social capitalist, no socialist to speak off.
In practice Chavez' is hardly a socialist, workers' control is minimal and 2/3 of the economy is controlled by the private sector. It turned out it was just too convenient being in power.
